Perin Health Devices was founded in memory of Daniel Perrin McLane — a visionary engineer and co-founder of Phase Margin, Inc. — who passed away in August 2022 from heart complications. His son, Dr. Ian McLane, and Jaishree McLane, along with partner Greg Kolean, founded Perin Health to honor his legacy.

The name "Perin" is a tribute to Daniel Perrin McLane. Every device we build, every patient we monitor, every life we improve — carries his name and his vision forward.
